Description of the Gobi (Ferdown) Premium Down High-End Nordic Duvet
High-end Nordic duvet , Premium series, filled with 95% Supreme white European down . Due to its weight/volume ratio and different filling weights, it is an ideal Nordic filling for all rooms thanks to its wide variety of high filling power models (the higher the filling power, the greater the temperature range the Nordic covers).

Features of the Gobi Premium Down Duvet
The Gobi Premium natural down duvet features 95% European virgin down and 5% small feathers, which improve the distribution, it is light, soft and fluffy. MicroCotton© fabric with Microfiber and Cotton and DOWN PROOF sealing system, which allows transpiration and provides high comfort.
Filling selection. Ferdown (Gobi) selects the down based on its origin, size and quality; in this case it uses exclusively European down, which is larger in size, has a thermal capacity and is lighter in weight than the Asian one.
INTERIOR FILLING. 95% white European Suprem down and 5% feathers . The down of this material obtained in the coldest European areas guarantees excellent thermal properties. The high percentage of down and the mini feathers make it soft, fluffy and light. Thanks to the tiny filaments of each down that envelop the cold air, which when heated, create a perfect microclimate inside, providing heat but allowing perspiration, this duvet offers a warm rest but without sweating.

FILLING WEIGHT. Available in 120 gr/m2, 180 gr/m2, 210 gr/m2 and Duo 120+90 gr/m2 . The weight of the premium 120 gr/m2 duvet is ideal as a duvet for cool mid-seasons in unheated rooms. The weight of the premium 180 is ideal as a duvet for not-too-cold or cold winters in slightly heated rooms. The weight of the premium 210 is ideal as a duvet for cold winters in unheated rooms and the Duo can be used all year round thanks to the versatility of its filling. In addition, this down allows air to circulate inside, achieving optimal thermoregulation, which means that we do not sweat during sleep and improves our rest.
FABRIC. MicroCotton© fabric. Microfiber and Cotton with Down Proof . This is a fabric made of hollow fibers of exceptional lightness, high capacity for evaporating moisture and aerating the skin, which helps maintain a constant temperature; this together with cotton that provides an extra soft touch and breathability is a high performance and comfort material. It also has a DOWN PROOF sealing system and is made in squares with an inner partition, which helps the correct distribution and balance of the Duvet throughout the filling.
THREAD COUNT . Fabrics with more than 200 threads per inch are more voluminous, softer and more durable than those with less than 200 threads. In this case, the Gobi Premium Nordic offers high softness, strength and adaptability. This fabric is made in Kassetten , that is, in squares with interior partitions, allowing an adequate distribution of the filling inside, avoiding shifting and cold areas that can occur due to the seams .
FILLING POWER (CUIN ). A duvet that offers a Filling Power of 700 CUIN, a HIGH LEVEL of graduation on the scale of measurement of the weight/volume ratio. The Cuin or filling power measures the comfort, the insulating capacity, lightness, recovery, and fluffiness of the down fluff. In Gobi duvets, the filling power scale includes values between 400 and 900 CUIN (unit of measurement). The higher the Filling Power, the larger the fluff and the filaments. The higher the quality of the duvet, the lower the weight per m2.
KASSETTEN (BOX SYSTEM). In weights of 180 and 210 gr/m2. This is, without a doubt, the best and most efficient way of distributing the down filling. Using squares of identical size, the down is even reached to the edge of the seams, since this system forces the duvet to be filled square by square, with a precision of +/- 0.1 gr, thus achieving a perfect distribution of weight and volume throughout the duvet filling.
THERMAL LEVEL (Scale from 1 to 4). The Gobi Premium 120 gr/m2 model has a thermal level 2, the Premium 180 gr/m2 has a thermal level of 3, the Gobi Premium 210 gr/m2 model has a thermal level 4 and the DUO 90+120 gr/m2 offers all the thermal levels depending on the weight used. Level 2: Recommended for rooms between 17 ºC and 24 ºC, with the ideal temperature being 20 ºC. Level 3: Recommended for rooms between 13 ºC and 21 ºC, with the ideal temperature being 17 ºC. Level 4: Recommended for rooms between 11 ºC and 20 ºC , with the ideal temperature being 15 ºC.

SAFETY OF USE. The down and feathers used in Gobi duvets are subjected to long sterilisation and hygiene processes, as they are subject to exhaustive quality control according to EN 12935 regulations. Through a sterilisation process in which the down is subjected to a temperature of over 120 ºC, the total absence of any pathogen, germ, virus or bacteria is guaranteed, thus ensuring the maximum safety of the product.
**This Nordic duvet is suitable for people with allergies or respiratory problems.
What is Filling Power?
Filling Power is a measurement scale that, in relation to the volume of air that each duvet is able to hold inside, gives us the precise weight/insulating capacity ratio. In other words, filling power (CUIN) measures the quantity (volume) of Duvet in relation to the same weight.
For example, the higher the quality of the filling, the lower the weight required, so a 210 gr/m2 duvet with a 700 filling power (fp) will be much more comfortable, light, insulating and fluffy than one with a 300 gr/m2 and 500 filling power.

Recommended use temperature according to weight
Natural Nordic duvets with high fill power made of natural down and feather, such as this Gobi Premium model, do not require such a high weight as fibre duvets and are much lighter in weight than synthetic duvets.
In addition, the calorific value and breathability of natural duvets is greater than that of others.

Tips for the maintenance and washing of a Gobi natural Nordic duvet
Gobi Nordic duvets feature unbeatable finishes and treatments, which ensure that the fillings will remain and be preserved in optimal conditions for a long time. However, it is very important to follow a series of recommendations regarding washing:
- Airing. The duvet should be aired regularly so that the down can "breathe" and not become matted. If the duvet cover is used, it will not be necessary to wash it frequently.
- Washing. The manufacturer Gobi (Ferdown) recommends washing the duvet every two or three years. It also recommends doing so in a high-capacity machine and at a temperature below 30 degrees Celsius. It is also best to use a mild detergent that does not contain bleach or whiteners. On the other hand, the duvet should be washed separately without any other clothing or bedding. You can also add two or three new balls, tennis balls for example, or dryer balls, to help prevent the natural filling from becoming compacted.
- Drying. Ideally, the duvet should be left to dry outdoors, but avoid direct sunlight. After this, it is advisable to tap the duvet filling a few times to fluff it up.
- Storage. The natural duvet should be stored in its own cotton cover, which is specially designed for its proper conservation. If you do not have one, you can buy a bag specifically for this purpose. It is very important to keep it in a cool, dry place.
Other tips: It is not recommended to use a vacuum cleaner on the duvet as it can cause the threads to separate and thus cause the duvet filling to come out.
