Features of the Gobi Elegance down duvet
The Gobi Elegance natural down duvet , made from 100% Canadian goose down, is light, soft and fluffy. Its outer fabric is 100% cotton batiste and has a DOWN PROOF sealing system, which allows breathability and provides high comfort. It is a duvet of maximum comfort and safety. Ferdown (Gobi) selects the down for its origin, size and quality, so it only uses down of European origin, which has a larger size and filling power than the Asian one, as well as a much higher quality.
INTERIOR FILLING. 100% Premium Canadian Goose Down . This material obtained from geese in the coldest regions of Canada guarantees excellent thermal properties. The maximum percentage of down makes it soft, fluffy and light. Thanks to the tiny filaments of each down that envelop the cold air, which when heated, create a perfect microclimate inside, providing heat but allowing perspiration, this duvet offers a warm rest but without sweating.

FILLING WEIGHT. Available in weights of 120, 180 and Duo (100+90 gr/m2). The weight of the Elegance 100 gr/m2 duvet is ideal as a duvet for cool mid-seasons in unheated rooms. The weight of the Elegance 120 is ideal as a duvet for not-too-cold or cold winters in slightly heated rooms. The weight of the Elegance 180 is ideal as a duvet for cold winters in unheated rooms and the Duo can be used all year round thanks to the versatility of its filling. In addition, this 100% Canada down allows air to circulate inside, achieving optimal thermoregulation, which means that we do not sweat during sleep and improve our rest.
FABRIC. 100% cotton Batista fabric with 280 threads, material with firm warp, slightly satin surface, double-stitched finish, DOWN PROOF sealing system and made in squares with an internal partition, which allows an adequate distribution of the filling inside, avoiding shifting and cold areas that may occur due to the seams. This fabric has the highest level of purity, which guarantees high freshness and softness, low moisture absorption and high evaporation of the same, as well as breathability. In addition, cotton does not form balls, is washable and hypoallergenic.

THREAD COUNT . Fabrics with more than 200 threads per inch are more voluminous, softer and more durable than those with less than 200 threads. In this case, the Gobi Elegance duvet offers high softness, strength and adaptability. This fabric is made in Kassetten , that is, in squares with internal partitions, allowing an adequate distribution of the filling inside, avoiding shifting and cold areas that can occur due to the seams .
FILLING POWER (CUIN ). This duvet offers a Filling Power of 750 CUIN, a VERY HIGH LEVEL of graduation on the scale of measurement of the weight/volume ratio. The Cuin or filling power measures the comfort, the insulating capacity, lightness, recovery, fluffiness of the down flake. In Gobi duvets the filling power scale includes values between 400 and 800 CUIN (unit of measurement). The higher the Filling Power, the larger the duvet flake and its filaments will be. The higher the quality of the duvet, the lower the weight per m2.
KASSETTEN (BOX SYSTEM). This is a system in which squares of identical size are used to reach the edges of the seams with the down, as this system requires filling the duvet square by square, with a precision of +/- 0.1 gr, thus achieving a perfect distribution of weight and volume throughout the duvet filling. NOTE: Direct quilting in weights of 100 gr/m2 and 90+100 gr/m2.
THERMAL LEVEL (Scale from 1 to 4). The Gobi Elegance 100 gr/m2 Nordic duvet has a thermal level 2, the Elegance 140 gr/m2 Nordic duvet has a thermal level of 3, the Gobi Elegance 180 gr/m2 Nordic duvet has a thermal level 4 and the DUO 90+100 gr/m2 offers all the thermal levels depending on the weight used. Level 2: Recommended for rooms between 17 ºC and 24 ºC, with the ideal temperature being 20 º C. Level 3: Recommended for rooms between 13 ºC and 21 ºC, with the ideal temperature being 17 ºC. Level 4: Recommended for rooms between 11 ºC and 20 ºC , with the ideal temperature being 15 ºC.

SAFETY OF USE. The down used in Gobi duvets undergo long sterilisation and hygiene processes, thus obtaining a 100% hypoallergenic product, which is completely suitable for both children and adults, as it is subjected to exhaustive quality control according to EN 12935 regulations. Through a sterilisation process in which the down is subjected to a temperature above 120º C, the total absence of any pathogen, germ, virus or bacteria is guaranteed, thus ensuring maximum product safety.
**This Nordic duvet is suitable for people with allergies or respiratory problems.
What is the Filling Power of a Nordic duvet?
Filling Power is a measurement scale that, in relation to the volume of air that each duvet is able to hold inside, gives us the precise weight/insulating capacity ratio. In other words, filling power (CUIN) measures the quantity (volume) of Duvet in relation to the same weight.
For example, the higher the quality of the filling, the lower the weight required, so a 210 gr/m2 duvet with a 700 filling power (fp) will be much more comfortable, light, insulating and fluffy than one with a 300 gr/m2 and 500 filling power.

Recommended use temperature according to the weight of this Nordic duvet
Natural Nordic fillings with high fill power of down and natural feather, as is the case with this Gobi Elegance model, do not require such a high grammage as in the case of fibre duvets and are much lighter in weight than synthetic duvets.
In addition, the calorific value and breathability of natural duvets is greater than that of others.
- The Elegance 120 gr/m2 Nordic duvet is ideal for rooms between 13 ºC and 21 ºC, the ideal temperature being 16 ºC.
- The Elegance 180 gr/m2 Nordic duvet is ideal for rooms between 11 ºC and 20 ºC, with the ideal temperature being 15 ºC.
- The Elegance DÚO 100+90 gr/m2 Nordic duvet is suitable for use all year round as we can use the 90 gr Nordic duvet for cool summers, the 120 gr for cool mid-seasons and by joining them in a kit we obtain a 210 grain 4-season duvet perfect for cold winters.

Tips for the maintenance and washing of Gobi natural duvets
Gobi duvets feature unbeatable finishes and treatments, which ensure that the fillings will remain and be preserved in optimal condition for a long time. However, it is very important to follow a series of recommendations regarding washing:
- Airing. The duvet should be aired regularly so that the down can "breathe" and not become matted. If the duvet cover is used, it will not be necessary to wash it frequently.
- Washing. The manufacturer Gobi (Ferdown) recommends washing the duvet every two or three years. It also recommends doing so in a high-capacity machine and at a temperature below 30 degrees Celsius. It is also best to use a mild detergent that does not contain bleach or whiteners. On the other hand, the duvet should be washed separately without any other clothing or bedding. You can also add two or three new balls, tennis balls for example, or dryer balls, to help prevent the natural filling from becoming compacted.
- Drying. Ideally, the duvet should be left to dry outdoors, but avoid direct sunlight. After this, it is advisable to tap the duvet filling a few times to fluff it up.
- Storage. The natural duvet should be stored in its own cotton cover, which is specially designed for its proper conservation. If you do not have one, you can buy a bag specifically for this purpose. It is very important to keep it in a cool, dry place.
Other tips: It is not recommended to use a vacuum cleaner on the duvet as it can cause the threads to separate and thus cause the duvet filling to come out.
