Features of the Flex Anti-mite Top Nordic Duvet
The Anti-mite Top Nordic duvet from Flex is, without a doubt, one of the fibre duvets with the best quality/price ratio. This model with a 100% hollow siliconised fibre filling Quallofil Allerban from Dacron and a striped polyester fabric, offers maximum comfort and protection. comfort, great softness and total safety against pathogens harmful to health .
INTERIOR FILLING. 100 % hollow siliconised fibre Hollofil® ALLERBAN® by Dacron®, 100% hypoallergenic . This fibre is completely anti-mite and anti-bacteria, offering high elasticity, great recovery capacity, thermoregulation and longevity in use. This fibre is made up of fine polyester strands, hollow inside and siliconised on the outside, allowing, thanks to the micro-air channels formed inside each fibre, to prevent the accumulation of humidity inside, bad odours, and also offering excellent anti-allergy properties. On the other hand, thanks to the siliconisation of the outer layer of each fibre, it improves the feel, improves resistance to tearing and recovery.
WEIGHTS. This duvet is available in weights of 100, 250 and 350 grs/m2 of filling weight. A wide range from which you can choose the one that best suits you, depending on the climate of your place of residence. You should take into account the average temperature of your room before choosing a specific weight for the duvet.
FABRIC. Striped microsatin, made in Linear quilting . This quilt features the most hygienic and comfortable combination on the market. It is a mixture of polyester and nylon that results in a very light, shiny fabric with a soft surface, highly breathable and also with anti-wrinkle capacity.
BREATHABILITY. Thanks to the hollow channel fibres that offer great volume by allowing space between each fibre, this Flex duvet allows air to circulate inside without interfering with its thermal capacity, as it does not drag the air contained inside the micro-channels. This, in turn, prevents the accumulation of humidity inside.
THERMAL LEVEL 1,2,3 and 4 (Scale from 1 to 4). The Allerban model by Flex has thermal level 1 for its 100 gr version, Level 2 for the 250 gr model, Level 3 for the 350 gr version. Thermal Level 1, ideal for rooms between 21 ºC and 25 ºC, Thermal Level 2, ideal for rooms between 19 ºC and 23 ºC and Thermal Level 3, ideal for rooms between 16 ºC and 20 ºC.
SAFETY OF USE. The Allerban Nordic duvet has Hollofil® Allerban® hollow fibre from Dacron® ANTI-MITE , as well as 100% breathable fabric; Systems that allow the correct aeration of the filling and fabric, avoiding the accumulation of humidity which, in turn, does not allow the proliferation of mites or fungi, thus achieving a totally anti-allergic product suitable even for people with allergies and/or respiratory problems.
What are mites and how do they affect our health?
WHAT ARE THEY? Mites are micro-organisms, less than half a millimetre in size, that live in dusty, warm and humid environments. Their favourite places are things that are usually not very breathable, such as cushions, duvets, stuffed animals and mattresses, all of which are areas that humans tend to rub against, as these little bugs feed on microscopic flakes of our skin.
HOW DO THEY AFFECT US? Mite particles and their fecal remains remain inside poorly breathable fabrics, as well as in the air of closed spaces. When inhaled, they can cause asthma or rhinitis, conjunctivitis, and atopic skin.

How do I choose the weight of this duvet that is most suitable for me?
The most suitable Nordic duvet for me must have a certain weight depending on the climate of the place where I live. Taking into account the geographical area of Spain as a reference, here are some references:
- Weight of 100 gr/m2. Suitable for northern summers or spring/autumn on the southern Mediterranean coast up to Valencia, i.e. suitable when the room temperature is between 21º and 25º C, with the optimum being 23º C.
- Weight of 250 gr/m2. Suitable for spring/autumn in the north and centre as well as for winters in the south of the Mediterranean coast, i.e. for rooms with temperatures between 19º and 23º C, with the optimum being 21º C.
- Weight: 350 gr/m2. Suitable for spring/autumn in the north and centre, or for winters in the south of the Mediterranean coast, although being somewhat warmer it is recommended for cold winters such as those in the north, but in heated houses, that is, for rooms with temperatures between 15º and 20º C, with the optimum being 17º C.

Nordic Flex Fiber Maintenance and Conservation
Washing, drying and care. The Allerban Nordic duvet is suitable for washing in any type of domestic washing machine, as long as it is washed at a maximum temperature of 40 ºC in short cycles and with a very gentle spin cycle, do not iron, do not bleach and can be dried at a maximum of 40 ⁰C.
How to store the duvet? Both from mueblesdecasa.net and from Flex, we recommend using the bag or case from which they are taken out for the first time, or alternatively buy breathable cotton bags specially prepared for the purpose.
